Support Zabi’s Next Chapter, Grazi!

“Zabi,” a bright, compassionate recent grad from Afghanistan, has endured more in his young lifetime than many of us can imagine. Against great odds, he survived a tumultuous childhood and put himself through university, receiving a degree in political science and law. Zabi first volunteered and then worked for an NGO supporting marginalized individuals in all areas of Afghanistan. After being threatened by the Taliban, he fled to safety in a neighboring country, and continued to volunteer to serve others—in this case, other refugees. Now, Zabi has a chance for a new beginning in Italy, where he looks forward to continuing his education, learning a new language, and finding meaningful work. Most importantly, he looks forward to feeling safe and free.
